We were here on a busy Saturday night, and food quality and service were excellent. Our appetizers included a Salade De Lyonaisse, which could have used a little more acid. We also had Pate Maison,Steak Tartar,Fromage Chevre Au Fou, mussels, chimicurrri au Boeuf, which was tasty but had to many potatoes and not enough boeuf and the assisted De formage, which could be improved with better crackers. Our entrees in incuded Bouef Bourguignon, Duck breast,Ravioli Au Champignon,Idaho brook trout, and, if that wasn't enough, Banana Foster, all were excellent. I will definitely return.

After reading the reviews and receiving only 4 stars on Yelp, I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely our experience was overall. Despite the fact that we were placed in a weird area of the dining space, the service and food exceeded our expectations. We recently enjoyed a small birthday party at Cafe Touche. We were so excited by the menu with all the wonderful French Dishes. Starting off our evening we ordered the Nina Rose and Mojito (off the menu) and made specially for our Birthday Girl! Nice! The drinks were nice but not mind blowing as the flavors were quite muted. For Appetizers, we ordered the Escargot, which surprisingly doesn’t come with a shell, the Fritto Misto wasn’t anything spectacular but fried nicely, and the Vol Au Vant. The Vol Au Vant was by far the stand out of the appetizers with the creamy sauce and tender chicken bits. Our only criticism is that the dish didn’t have more quantity. The free bread they provided was nice and paired well with this cream sauce and a mixture of the garlic butter from the Escargot. For mains, we shared the Cordon Bleu, Jambalaya, Joule Au Vin and Bolognese. The Cordon Bleu chicken was tender and the sauce was nice. The Jambalaya was also made well with jumbo shrimp and slightly spicy andouille sausage. The Braised beef cheeks were nice but the reduction was a little over-reduced and the Bolognese pasta was perfectly al dente. Our server was so lovely the entire evening. I believe her name was Paris, super attentive and very welcoming! We also received a lovely dessert as a birthday gift! We would definitely recommend as a nice place outside of the city of Chicago to check out! Great for lunch, brunch and dinner and they even have outdoor seating which is awesome! Grade : A

We had a great time here! The food was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The portions were relatively large, which was unexpected but exciting. Everything from appetizer to dessert created a memorable experience. Although it was in the colder months during our visit, it looked like they open up the restaurant in the summer and spread out seating into the street. I’d recommend this to anyone!

Always busy (because it's good), the hosts try to make guests comfortable despite the hustle and bustle. Once seated (we sat at the bar), the service is friendly and professional. Drinks are made with experience and care. The menu is diverse but not confusing. The best of all is the food!! Not artsy or pretentious, instead; classic and classy, familiar tastes with a flair. Delicious!!!

I really enjoyed brunch here! Really great variety of options on the brunch menu from classic omelettes with a variety of add on options to Lemon Curd Blueberry pancakes- which were so tasty! They were very sweet but paired well with the savory dishes my friends ordered. I’d recommend sharing entrees with a friend so you can try a little bit of everything! The server was great and had no problem splitting our checks; great cup of coffee! My friends enjoyed the 16 bottomless mimosas they said. I will be back for brunch or dinner for sure, especially for food and ambiance.

I always crave their lamb chops Love the food and the vibe here, cocktails are yum and strong. It’s always full especially during weekend brunch so make sure you have your reservation. The staff is friendly and food is out of the world. They have a great wine selection. On weekdays they also have half-off wine bottles, I guess on Wednesdays. Check their website for amazing weekday offers. Definitely recommend this place for a party or date or just casual weekend brunch. Can’t wait to be back.

I had the pleasure of lunching at Cafe Touche in Edison Park, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance that set the stage for an enjoyable meal. The menu at Cafe Touche is a delightful blend of classic and contemporary French cuisine, and it caters to a variety of tastes. The dishes are expertly crafted with attention to detail, and the presentation is simply stunning. Whether you're a fan of seafood, meat, or vegetarian options, there is something to satisfy every palate. During my visit, I had the opportunity to try their walleye plate . The fish was great tasting and the red wine sauce infused it with a rich and robust flavor that was absolutely divine. The portion sizes were generous. The service at Cafe Touche deserves special mention. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions we had. The attention to detail and the personalized service truly enhanced the overall dining experience. The atmosphere in the cafe is cozy and inviting, with tasteful decor and comfortable seating. It's a perfect place for a romantic date night or a gathering with friends and family. The dim lighting and soft music create a relaxed and intimate ambiance, making you feel right at home. To top it all off, the beverage selection at Cafe Touche is impressive. They offer an extensive wine list with a variety of options to pair perfectly with your meal. We will go back for dinner next time !
